Bounte returns with more intricate, groove-infused electronica in Maximal. With this 4-track set, Bounte shifts focus to danceable instrumentals dominated by glitchy, thundering beats. From the hard and grinding low-end of "D575" to the energized snarework of "Sextuple X," Maximal is fuel for the dance floor.
Grayscale, the highly anticipated sophomore release from The Atomica Project, embodies in itself the struggle of its execution. Taking nearly 3 years to complete, Grayscale is filled with elaborate narratives of failure and recovery. Loosely based on the dramatic climate of Lauren Cheatham and Wade Alin's adopted home of Chicago, many of the tracks draw parallels between the cinematic storms of the Midwest and the turmoil of interpersonal relationships.
Thematically, ARC represents the basic chapters of a man's life, at least as far as it has been lived so far by it's narrator. The third EP in a four part series, ARC is the truest embodiment of theMDR's identity thus far. A dramatic blend of emotive songs, visceral live performances and late 70's influenced electronica, this ep actually attemps to trace the arc of life in a mere 6 songs.
Callisto marks Chris Randall's fifth genre-spanning sojourn in to the back streets of electronic music under the Micronaut banner. Mostly up-tempo, partially eccentric, and definitely danceable, Callisto is a distilled history of Micronaut in one album.
Gravity is the first single from The Atomica Project's sophomore release, Grayscale.
One is the debut album from Chicago native Bounte. Combining a breakbeat and IDM backbone with strong melodic textures and melodies, One is an unique take on the current electronic music scene.
The long-awaited solo album from Chris Randall, former frontman for Sister Machine Gun, pays homage to more traditional American music, while still maintaining the chaotic edginess that Randall is known for.
Three exclusive tracks, one cover, and three alternate takes comprise this companion EP to The Devil His Due.
Sister Machine Gun's seventh full-length album is an electro-industrial tour-de-force that recalls the industrial sound of the late eighties and early nineties.
inventing shadows is a collection of dark dramatic songs that resist the over-arranged, over-thought tendencies of modern alternative music.
metallic tongue is a barrage of electro-ambient feedback, riding on the back of visceral driving bass, drums and electronic percussion.
